Charles, I think what Alexandr was discussing was that Diebold not only manufactures ATMs, but also the high speed imaging systems that banks use today for storing checks. These scanners (many of which are manufactured by Fujitsu, BTW, similar to - but much, much faster than - the imaging unit on an HP Mopier) connect via FireWire (as does the scanner on the mopier).
