X-List-Unsubscribe: Send email to mailusers-request@2rosenthals.com X-List-Owner: mailusers-owner@2rosenthals.com Still dipping my toes in the water of WiFi, need more help. I tested by Cisco 350 and it worked fine out of box on Win98 with the ACU at the PGA in West Palm Beach. Now I have booted up in a Hampton Inn in Olean NY where supposedly WiFi is available. However the counter clerk said she loans out D-Link cards to guests and none was left. She said some guests can log on with their own cards. Anyway I have booted up to Win98 and the Cisco ACU says 'Not Associated" and signal strength is zero. However the green light on the card is blinking, and from time to time the SSID, which was blank originally, flashes "Hampton Inn". What is happening please? If there is zero signal, how can it detect the SSID of the host? If it can detect the SSID, why does the ACU show "Not associated" Stumbling, please help.
