Yes, the performance & range hit is measurable. That said, you might not 
see it unless you're moving files on the LAN and/or you need the extra 
range afforded by using no encryption. We really do need EAP/LEAP/WPA 
support, as even WEP doesn't provide the level of security most people need 
today.
