You know, Neil, my only real argument with Yahoogroups is the !@#$ing advertising all over the place. I realize that they have to generate revenue from somewhere, but when you own your own server with all the software set up to go, it's pretty hard not to look at the option of just hosting the list with no ads (and no spam, either).

My post here was specifically regarding the pros and cons of setting up the list. Thanks for your suggestion, though, and I'll take you up on the idea and join the group over there, in any event.

your own group. But please join me on nb2discuss. I think you can get your
question answered there.

Personally, I haven't tried to do hibernation on my Thinkpad. New hibernation
driver that supports LVM systems is out, though.
