Hmm, the problem is IBM quit making the ThinkPad utilities available for OS/2. Therefore a small Windoze98 partition is needed to manage "ThinkPad features", like this hybernation file. I suggest you boot using OS/2 floppies, then create & format a 1G FAT partition, and set it to startable. Then boot using the Win98 CD and install, then install the IBM features for your machine. Now you can run the IBM utils to create the hybernation file in that FAT partition, as well as manage the other ThinkPad settings.Randy,
