Why do you say there's a 3Actually, Charles, in the US, there are a total of eleven channels available. The problem is the signal overlap, i.e., each channel is 25MHz wide, but the channels are only 5MHz apart, so an AP configured on channel 1 will overlap with an AP configured on channels 2, 3, 4, and 5. Channel 6 is then free, but 7, 8, 9, and 10 will overlap with 6. 11 is the upper limit here.
