Check the IPs. If you're not familiar with subnetting and supernetting (or with the differences between class A, B, and C networks), drop me a note and I'll either render an opinion or send you some links for that stuff. The Novell net tech exam used to be 90% IPX (those were the days); since NetWare 5, it's almost all IP. When I was studying for my exams, I really did know the addressing chapters backward & forward (no pun intended!).

You are right in saying that it shouldn't work. In theory, they should be stepping on one another. What is probably going on is some type of wireless bridging (such as Linksys' Point to Multipoint scenario). Tell me, were the IP's all on the same subnet?
   


I didn't have time to do much testing as wife & kids were impatiently waiting in the car. <g>  We are going back to Atlanta soon so I plan on staying there this time.  How can I tell if the APs are on the same subnet, by the IP Addresses or what??
