Here's the snippet from the Cisco card's .nif:

[CHANNEL]
Display = "Channel Number"
Type = Decimal
Range = 1-14
step = 1
Optional = YES
Editable = YES
Help="This parameter defines the channel which will be used for an ADHOC network."

Apparently, Christian hasn't enabled this functionality in XWLAN as yet, as I could not find the relevant settings in the profile pages. You might want to try setting this in PROTOCOL.INI to see if it makes a difference.

Try switching channels. Sounds like someone else may be stomping on your signal. Remember, 1-5 overlap, and 6-10 overlap. I'm not sure how many channels are available in your part of the world, john, but you may be able to go beyond 11; the same logistics apply. You should be able to get normal throughput even when running Ad Hoc.

How does one change channels in AD-HOC mode?
