The interface parameter merely tells dhcpcd which interface to configure if none is specified on the command line when dhcpstrt is run. IOW, I also have interface lan0 (factory default) in dhcpcd.cfg. However, I can still get a DHCP address on lan1 with dhcpstrt -i lan1. However, dhcpstrt by itself will attempt to request an address on lan0, as that is the default set in dchpcd.cfg. -- Lewis ------------------------------------------------------------ Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA Rosenthal & Rosenthal, LLC Accountants / Network Consultants New York / Northern Virginia www.2rosenthals.com eComStation Consultants www.ecomstation.com Novell Users International www.novell.com/linux/truth ------------------------------------------------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to steward@2rosenthals.com with the command "unsubscribe os2-wireless_users" in the body (omit the quotes).
