Kris, when you write >I got (and had to ditch) a TP43 in early spring this year, and apparently USB wasn't USB 1.1 compatible either< then what do you mean by that?

I wouldn't worry to much about USB 1.1 compatibillity, as almost all my devices are 2.0.
But do you mean that the OS/2 USB drivers themselves don't work on the T43p?!!

And were there any other reasons why you had to ditch that T43p?!

I just spend another few thousands to buy a T43p and I would at least hope not to spend another 4 weeks in vain trying to get it set up.

  Let me know, please.

Mind. I got (and had to ditch) a TP43 in early spring this year, and apparently USB wasn't USB 1.1 compatible either. So your tons of stored data could remain in the same state of dispair.

To repeat myself again once more: Lenovo laptops aren't the first choice for eCS. They just aren't anything better or worse than any other laptop.
