Jan responded to my query, overcoming an IBM JFS error in treatment of
partitions with late-in-alphabet names. The partition just gets declared
dirty by dfsee.

I think this is correct. I put it in my startup folder so that partition
"x" is declared dirty. Whether or not I suffer a crash, the drive will
be checkdisked at the NEXT boot.
