Only because you chose to implement a naive script and got lucky. There's
nothing in the RFCs that specifies the order that the request methods are
offered.
Anyone using the DNS-01 or TLS-SNI-01 or TLS-ALPN-01 request methods
implemented their hook scripts to not assume their chosen method was the
first offered.
